Everyone means everyone

Accessibility Statement

Draft — to be reviewed by the organisers before launch

Our commitment

Chesterfield Together exists to include people, so this website is built to include people too. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

What we've done

  • The whole site works with a keyboard, with clearly visible focus outlines.
  • Text and background colours meet AA contrast standards.
  • Headings, landmarks and labels are structured for screen readers.
  • A "skip to main content" link appears when you start tabbing.
  • Animations are subtle, run once, and switch off entirely if your device asks for reduced motion.
  • Text can be resized to 200% without anything breaking.
  • Buttons and links are big enough to tap comfortably.

Known limitations

TODO: list any known issues here after testing with real assistive technology, and update as they are fixed.

Accessibility at our events

Every event listing includes an accessibility section. Venue details are being confirmed — if you have any access needs, contact us before an event and we will do everything we can to help.

Tell us if something isn't working

If any part of this website is hard for you to use, we genuinely want to know. Emailhello@chesterfieldtogether.org.uk and we will do our best to fix it.
