Bringing people together
Everything we do starts with the same simple idea: life in Chesterfield is better when neighbours know each other. Meals, cuppas, check-ins and friendly places to be — it all serves that one purpose.
Community meals
Food has a way of doing the hard work for us. Sit people around a table with a good dinner and conversation takes care of itself. Our Community Roast is the proof — and the model for everything we cook up next.
Social connection
Loneliness doesn’t announce itself. We create easy, no-pressure ways for people to be around other people — because a friendly hello can turn a week around.
Practical support
Neighbours looking out for each other, the old-fashioned way: a lift, a knock on the door, a hand with the little things that are big things when you’re on your own.

Every plate served and table laid is a volunteer’s doing. Giving time is good for the people you help — and, it turns out, brilliant for you too.
